I am in Texas. Is there any places that checks you for diabetes for free without you having to visit your doctor?

I am very nervous to tell my mom that I want to get tested for diabetes on a regular basis because, the pediatrician that we see said that I can’t get diabetes as a child even though it runs in the family. I know that is not true. So how should I tell her and [...] I asked if I had diabetes yesterday on answers and u guys said yes. But I am not sure how to tell my parents because I do not think they will take my seriously until I in reality am admitted to the hospital…. And also I had my blood drawn to see if I had [...] Today my wife went for her 28 week screening, she had blood sugar of 175. They want her to do a second longer test. Has anybody here had gestational diabetes? Or high blood sugar that was afterwards proven to not to be gestational diabetes? Please anyone who has knowledge help me to calm my wife! [...] If person has no health coverage and can’t afford the fee for a doctors appointment, how are they supposed to get tested for diabetes? They are showing all of the signs and symptoms, but with health care being unaffordable where do they go? I will have the normal test for gestational diabetes at 28 weeks. how much blood is typically drawn for this test? I’m not diabetic or overweight, and I do my best to eat a healthy diet. However, the one BIG risk factor I have is that my father has it, and it tends to run in my family. |
